Children play a vital and dynamic part in the life of our church.
Sunday morning services start with the children in for the first 15 minutes of the service then it is off to meet together in the Power Zone room before moving to their age-appropriate activities. Our children’s programmes follow the school terms.
To find the children's programmes exit either through the side door of the church, or through the back doors, turn left, take the next left and the room is just down on the right.
Crèche (ages 0-3 yrs).
Crèche is available for under 3's whose parents would like to take their children out of the service. We have plenty of toys and books for children to enjoy in a secure cosy environment. The creche is located through the side doors of the auditorium and turn left. Parents will need to stay with their little ones.
Bright Sparks (ages 3-6 years)
Power Kids is a fun kids’ Bible programme that uses a variety of fun approaches to encourage young children to start thinking abut God and what He can mean to them.
Powerzone (ages 7-9 years)
Power Kids is a fun kids’ Bible programme for primary aged children. Using interactive teaching and a variety of fun approaches our aim is to connect with God and see faith grow as we discover what the Bible has to say and how this is relevant for life today.
Each term ends with a special Family Worship service.
We believe the children are an integral part of the church and their programme often reflects what is happening in the wider church life.
Once a term they visit Craigweil House to contribute to the church’s ministry to our elderly folk in the local residential care facility. They give out crafts made by members of the church and will entertain the people with an item.
They hear about missionary trips church members make and contribute in any way they can. They take part in the Tranzsend Prayer and Self Denial, using the material supplied by Tranzsend.
Godsown (ages 10 - 14 years)
The older children are encouraged to discover ways to make their faith relevant to their daily lives. Their studies are strictly Bible based and they are encouraged to read their Bibles and discover what God has to say to them. Activities challenge what they say to see if it aligns with what they actually do.
Godsown is held in the room at the end of the hall past the kitchen.
The children are in church for the first part of the service so enabling them to enjoy some time of family worship before moving to the Godsown room at approximately 10.15am.
