Happy Pancake Day!!

“It’s a ‘thing’ and it’s today, other names are Shrove Tuesday or FAT Tuesday and that’s because it’s the day when you eat up all the fat, cream and butter in the house – ready for LENT.

Legend has it that when the church bell rang a woman ran out of the door whilst flipping her pancakes - she was so eager to get to church on time! So in some villages they have pancake races and ring the ‘pancake bell’
