Think Spot 6 April (Angelene)

“Today's think spot is about taking a moment to celebrate, you all, and ask the question what does mothers day mean to you? Did you know Mother's Day has an interesting history? It originated in the United States in the early 20th century. The modern holiday was first celebrated in 1908, thanks to a woman named Anna Jarvis. She wanted to honour her own mother, who had been a peace activist and cared for wounded soldiers during the Civil War.Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in 1908, and it inspired others to start celebrating Mother's Day as a way to recognize and appreciate mothers. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially declared Mother's Day a national holiday to be celebrated on the second Sunday of May.It's grown into a worldwide celebration, where people show appreciation for their mothers and mother figures. As mums we all know that there are hard days, sometimes our mornings can be a bit hectic, especially with little ones under five. Please remember that you’re doing an incredible job. As the saying goes:'A mother's love is endless and unconditional.'So today as we celebrate you and our past and present mums let’s enjoy this time together with our little ones,  enjoy their smiles, their laughter and  their funny little personalities while getting into the session today & let’s celebrate the wonderful journey of motherhood. One beautiful verse that reflects the essence of motherhood is Proverbs 31:26: ‘She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.’You are all so very amazing, and thanks for turning up each week to mainly music we’re truly so glad you’re all here!"
